Oct/17/2012, 40 years ago a legend was born on this day, who knew then that he'd be the greatest rapper in future. Make multi-platinum selling CD's , I'm talking about Marshall Bruce Mathers III better known as EMINEM. Who's a Great rapper, Lyrical genius, A great homie, Idol, the best father & a great motivation to every kid like me, who don't have a thing except for a dream & a fu#kin' rap magazine, Who post pin-up pictures on their walls all day long, Idolize their favorite rappers and know all their songs.
I still remember the day, It was a sunny weather in Mumbai, I was laying on my sofa, surfing channels on t.v & there I first came across to Eminem. I still remember his first song that I heard.. Akon's "Smack That" feat. Eminem & then.. there I was, watching "The Real Slim Shady" on T.V. The song amazed me, I was like "Damn, How did I miss this? how can someone be so hilarious & fantastic, I got to know more!" & it bought sudden urges in me to explore more & hear more of him. That was then & this is now, after almost five years, I'm right here celebrating his birthday as if it's not a birthday but a festival for me & why it shouldn't be? That's my idol right there turned 40 today.
To speak more I would say every happening has a reason, The reason I stand up from my fall, The reason I keep fighting back, The reason for my strength, The reason why I still dream, The reason why I smile, The reason why I still hope, The reason why I listen to rap, That's the reason why I listen to Eminem.
I learnt so many things from him. The road that he traveled motivates me. He has been through a lot, traveled rough road to success & fame. He worked hard & his talent paid off. He suffered a lot of pain, been through troubles but what inspires me the most is his spirit of fighting & walking further, no matter how worst situation turned up, he never turned down or gave up. This nature of Eminem's surely motivates a lot of people like me, who look upto him, who can relate themselves to what he says in his songs, well I do. I believe in him & whatever he says in his songs.
He's not only sensible but also hilarious & a total fun person. He's Lyrically Genius. He has amazing vocabulary & his rhyming skills are just unbeatable. He gave hit albums one after one. If asked about which is my one favorite song by Marshall? I've to say that I don't have ONE but many.. & the word 'many' really describes a huge list of songs. Songs like "Mockingbird", "Sing For The Moment", "Like Toy Soldier", "When I'm Gone", "Love You More", "Beautiful", "97 Bonnie & Clyde", "The Way I Am", "Cleanin' Out My Closet", "Hailie's Song", "Careful What You Wish For", "I Love The Way You Lie" & "Spacebound" makes me cry & on the other hand songs like "Without Me", "My Name Is", "We Made You", "Oh No", "My Dad's Gone Crazy", "Just Lose It", "A#s Like That" makes me sing along loudly with the song & dance idiotically on the beats.
All the laughter, the pain, the tears, the meaning behind all the words that he framed perfectly in his songs made me who I am today & on his birthday, I wish him a great life ahead, "Marshall, You're 40 now, but You're still so young & the best artist this world can ever have. I hope you keep on making music till you become fossil fuel.
